The COVID-19 pandemic is not over for everyone. 1 out of every 3 people infected continues to exhibit lingering symptoms after the acute infection has cleared. Make a big impact by supporting clinician education vital to diagnosing and treating our communities.
Hosted at Mar Monte Hotel in Santa Barbara by the Santa Barbara Public Health Department and the Chesley Initiative, The Educational Dinner Lecture will take place on March 13, 2024 with keynote speaker David Putrino, PT, PhD, Director of Rehabilitation Innovation Mount Sinai Health System, and a Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation and Human Performance at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Putrino was the Principal Investigator on a landmark paper published in the September 25 issue of Nature - the first to show specific blood biomarkers that can accurately identify patients with Long COVID.
As you may know, Long COVID, ME/CFS and other post-infectious illnesses are serious, chronic complex illnesses with a broad array of similar neurological, muscular, metabolic, endocrine, autoimmune, cellular and connective tissue symptoms that can often be debilitating.
Now it is even more urgent for physicians to be equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills and tools to accurately and compassionately diagnose and manage post-infectious illnesses.
Patients stand the best chance at a full recovery, early on in the disease process. Let's give them that chance!
Once you complete form below, we will be in touch. We look forward to seeing you!
